Synopsis:
A simple canoe trip. A deadly eco-warrior. Will our psychic sleuth be up a creek without a paddle?
Mitzy Moon is a dry land kinda gal. Never in her life has she wanted to take an extended adventure in a tippy canoe. But when her newly engaged cousin calls for help, she’ll have to put her faith in a snippy rival or risk losing everyone…
With a militant environmentalist stalking the bride-to-be and her maids on a camping trip, Mitzy is stuck with only mean-girl Deputy Paulsen as backup. After last-minute advice from Ghost-ma and her feisty feline, she heads deep into the wilderness to find the missing girls—with nothing but a tent and a flimsy plan.
Will Mitzy chance spilling her secrets, or turn turtle and transform the pending nuptials into a funeral?

Bound 4 Escape reviews Blades & Bridesmaids

This is book 19 in the series, and I hope there will be another 19 books (or more). There are so many great characters. Mitzy is hilarious and a klutz. Her boyfriend, Erick, is the sheriff and loves Mitzy, but he’s out of town for the first half of this book. Her caracal, Pyewacket, and her ghost grandma always lend a bit of humor.
Mitzy and Deputy Paulsen go to rescue Mitzy’s cousin and her bridesmaids out in the middle of nowhere. I know everyone Mitzy usually relies on is out of town, but I would think at the least that her grandpa would join them. However, I enjoyed getting to know Deputy Paulsen and seeing that there is another side to her. Mitzy even seems to have a new respect for her. Mitzy in the outdoors was also quite funny.
Mitzy and Erick’s relationship is still sweet, and I was happy to see that they’re making progress. And Erick has a big secret too! That was a surprise!
This is an excellent series for anyone who enjoys fun, quick reads with great characters. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Dawn
I started selling used books online in 1999 as sleepygirl2, and opened my first storefront, Sleepygirl’s Used Books, in 2003. I enjoy my work and have wanted to start a blog for a while because I want to share my love for reading. I find a lot of interesting and funny things about books as I browse and this is the perfect place to share them. I also review books I read, which are often from authors or publishers, but I don’t receive any compensation for the reviews. Sometimes I come across an interesting book that I’ve purchased that I like to share on here as well.
