Book Review From Amy: Cut and Run

"This is one of those reads that made me stay in one spot and read in one sitting." - Amy Booksy

Book Title: Cut and Run by Annabelle Lewis
Category:  Adult Fiction 18+, 234 pages
Genre: Mystery, Thriller
Publisher:  PePe Press
Release Date: August 2021
Content Rating:  PG13 – Lots of cursing, and there are murders, but no graphic violence or graphic sexual content
 Book Description:

Their story continues . . .

The four Boston clairvoyants, blessed—or cursed—with special powers, must fight a ruthless enemy and stop injustice. In Dead Cat, Run, the Sisters of Fate drove them together, but at what cost? The God Apollo wasn’t playing around. He’s still dead set on vengeance.

Sinister forces will have a wicked agenda. An energy grab, a mineral rights war, and deadly mercenaries create a mortally serious game. But the psychics’ sibylline abilities aside, they’re only human. At least three of them are. (What’s up with that?)

Can they stop the killers? And who will survive?

An energetic contemporary thriller, Cut and Run will have you on the edge of your seat as the dance between good and evil resumes.

I had the pleasure of reading Annabelle Lewis’s Dead Cat, Run and was excited to find out that there was a follow up to it. I jumped on the opportunity to read the next book, Cut and Run. It was far from a disappointment. I think I enjoyed it even more than Dead Cat, Run. This is not my normal type of read, however, it gives me another reason to go outside my comfort zone and read something new. It is refreshing to read something new, different and unique. I was entertained right from the start. I felt like I was in the middle of the action, danger and adventure with the main characters. I was often on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what was going to happen next. This is one of those reads that made me stay in one spot and read in one sitting. That was time well spent. I loved every single page.

I am giving Cut and Run a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy a thrilling combination of mystery, suspense, supernatural and paranormal. I would love it if there would be more coming to continue these characters’ story in an upcoming release by Annabelle Lewis. It would be fun to see where else they would wound up next. Like their first story, this one should not be missed and definitely a must read. I loved it!

I received a digital copy of Cut and Run by the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

  1. Hi Amy! Thank you so much for reposting your wonderful review of Cut and Run. I had a hand placed over my heart and a big smile on face as I read it. I’m beginning the editing process today for the 3rd book in the series – How the Wicked Run. I don’t have a publication date, but sometime in 2022. It’s a continuation of the character’s journies, all of them destined for love and danger. My best to you, Annabelle Lewis
